At Oregon ENT Center, we remain committed to the health and safety of our patients and employees as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread. We are taking aggressive steps to minimize person-to-person interaction, one of which is the introduction of virtual ENT visits.
Reopening
Oregon ENT Center is back open as of 5/4/2020 and asking our patients to call to schedule an appointment to reduce the number of patients in our office. We do not accept walk ins.
All appointments must be scheduled in advance. Any appointment that was canceled due to COVID-19, we will be calling you to reschedule.
Also, we will be continuing to practice social distancing measures and are requiring all patients to bring and wear a mask.
As always, please do not come in if you have a fever or flu like symptoms.
We are happy to reschedule your visit.
Thank you for your compliance as we continue to provide safety for our patients and staff.
Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you might have at (541) 779-7331.
What can a telehealth visit do for you?
One of the primary benefits of a telehealth appointment is the ability to meet with your otolaryngologist when physical evaluations and testing are not required as part of the visit. Our clinic will determine if an e-visit can provide you with the same or better level of care than an in-person visit before scheduling occurs. Telehealth ENT doctor consultations are available for new and existing patients.
Virtual visits are a safe way to ask about COVID19 symptoms as they related to your ear, nose, and throat. We can also refill prescriptions and provide at-home care recommendations for new and chronic ENT disorders.
Home-based Patient Care
Many patient care services can be carried out with a telehealth visit. Some of the conditions we can diagnose and treat with telemedicine services include:
- Sinus Issues and Allergies
- Sore Throat
- Cough
- Heartburn/GERD
- Hearing Aid Evaluations
Telehealth Services We Offer Include:
Consultation Appointments
Consultations allow us to assess your care needs remotely. If a physical examination is required, a consultation may just act as a screening to ensure additional acute care is not required.
Hearing Aid Consultation Appointments
Initial hearing aid consultations can be performed by video or phone appointment. Our audiologists will walk you through a series of questions to determine your needs, and testing may need to be scheduled at a later date.
These visits will provide the information an audiologist needs to perform an on-site fitting in the future and include:
- A consultation on hearing loss and its influence on health and well-being
- Assessments to determine the effect of hearing loss on the patient
- Descriptions and demonstrations of available hearing aid options
- Hearing aid selection by style, color and manufacturer
Patient Education from the comfort of your home
Screenings and consultation appointments are a time for ENT doctors to assess a patient’s needs, answer any questions they have, and work with them to determine the next step in the care process. Otolaryngologists can execute many of their patient care duties without direct interaction.
With a high-quality camera, many patients can aid in their evaluation process and provide an ENT with enough high-quality imagery to make an assessment during a video appointment. Call our clinic today to determine whether your Otolaryngological needs can be met through a video or phone consultation.
Post-visit Follow-Up Appointments
For any of our patients who had ENT visits prior to COVID19 stay-in-place advisories, we are providing post-visit follow-up appointments using telehealth services. Video appointments allow us to perform additional assessments that phone appointments do not. Please call so that our staff can determine which appointment type can best meet your needs.
Emergency Consultations
Patient provided photos may be able to stand in for a physical examination during an emergency consultation. If you believe you have an ENT-treatable medical condition that requires an immediate consultation, please contact our office. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please contact 911.
What will you need for a telehealth visit?
- Our clinic will send you a link with any necessary forms, paperwork and pre-questionnaires that must be completed before your visit.
- A telephone, tablet or laptop with a camera for a video appointment. A cellular telephone with reliable service or a home landline for a phone appointment.
